Reid could only watch in horror as Krys was worked on by the medics. He barely remembered to breath. If it hadn't been for Morgan he would have forgotten how to do everything all together. His head hurt, his heart was pounding to fast, and he was starting to feel physically sick. The world was starting to go fuzzy and his mind blurry. He couldn't remember how he had gotten there. The image of Krys' white body slowly fading into her own blood was burned into his mind. His eyes, again watered out, watched as the medics carted Krys' seemingly lifeless body out of the room. More than anything he wanted to run after it, not to let Krys leave his sight, but he couldn't remember how to move his legs.
Finally he was able to move and quickly started out of the room, only a little after Krys. Yet once they got to the elevator he was forced to stay behind because there was no room. He watched as the door shut behind them cutting the woman from his view. It felt like the last time they would ever see the data analysis. For a moment Reid stood watching the closed door. The blood all over his cloths becoming annoyingly apparent. It took every inch of his will not to take them off right there and throw them away from him. He couldn't take the blood of the woman he loved all over him. Physically weak Spencer feel to the ground in front of the elevator. Finally giving into the exhaustion that had been over taking him the last month. He wasn't even ware of the world around him any more.

When the paramedics removed Krys from the room on a stretcher, Morgan was left in the same position, as if the job that had been keeping him there was the only thing that had kept him functionining - in a way, it was. He couldn't think yet, couldn't think of the implications for all the people involved in what had just happened here. Without the constant flurry of activity, Morgan was left in a standstill, as if a remote had been pointed at him and pressed pause.
Finally, he was broken out of his standstill when he noticed Reid leave the room to follow Krys' stretcher - that meant he couldn't have been lost in his own head for that long, if Reid wasn't even out of the room yet. With a sigh of relief, he held himself back for a moment before following the young man - with the present situation, he didn't know what could happen - and this notion was presented to him as soon as Krys was loaded into the elevator and was out of Reid's sight.
It was as if the man's purpose had been taken away - like Morgan previously, but in a different way entirely- with nothing to hold him up anymore, with nothing to keep him from collapsing, he did collapse -and quickly.
"Reid!" The poor kid couldn't just not always have a chance of getting himself hurt, could he? The overprotective man that Morgan was crouched next to the young genius, squeezing his shoulder. "Reid! Hey, Reid - come on kid, don't do this now. Open your eyes now, pretty boy." He knew it wasn't the time for teasing - but he didn't have another choice, because he didn't know another way to get him awake unless he was to physically shake him, and Morgan wasn't sure of what that would do to him right now.

Reid felt the entire world crashing down on him. Not just Krys' appending death. All the lives that he had seen destroyed. All the lives that he had ended. The count was up to two now. All the lives that he was unable to save. Like when he was unable to stop Jack Vaughan from killing the teen that had kidnapped his daughter. And the countless other times he wasn't smart or fast enough to save the next victim. He should have seen that Krys was drown, that she needed help. Now if he died it was going to be his fault. Again he hadn't been smart or fast enough to see what was going on to save her. Krys was only confused she hadn't meant to do what she had, he should have seen it and helped her through it. How could he say he loved her if he couldn't even help her through the most important moment in her life. Why couldn't he have saved her? The only thing he was thinking about was the fact that he had saved her.
The only thing that stopped Reid from giving up in that moment was Morgan's voice the broke through the sea of red before his eyes. At first he couldn't make out the words that were said. He only knew that it was Morgan's voice calling him back from where ever he was at that moment. Slowly the words started to form and he was able to hear he tell him to open his eyes. He didn't follow his direction though and instead asked through a very thick fog, he wasn't actually sure if his words made it out of his mouth, "Will she be okay?" he needed to know what was going to happen, and for some delirious reason he thought that Morgan would know. Morgan knew everything else. In a way the older man was much smarter than Reid was. He knew the stuff that actually mattered. So in this moment Reid felt that he would be able to tell him what was going to happen, and he knew he would answer truthfully. The truth was the only thing Reid had left in the world, and he wasn't about to let that be taken from him.

With the younger agent's words, Morgan breathed a sigh of relief and sank down on the floor next to him, his back against the wall. Reid's words had been garbled and hazy, but it was a relief that he'd spoken at all. Morgan had been sure he'd have to call another ambulance for Reid.
"Come on now, look at me." He repeated. "I can't have you going into shock." He plainly remembered JJ on Tobias' farm. It'd been like she'd checked out of reality. That wasn'ts oemthing he needed Reid going into right then. "Focus on me and breathe in and out."
He could see that Reid was counting on him - not to tell him that she'd be fine, but to tell him the truth. All Morgan wanted to do was to protect him from the awful truth that they'd both witnessed just then- but that was the problem. They'd both witnessed it. Reid was far from stupid - very far from it.
"I'm not a doctor, Reid. They'll take care of her." He'd avoided the question, and he hated that he'd done that. "They'll take care of her the best they can, kid. They're going to do everything they can."
And that was the only truth he had for him.

Reid knew that the doctors and nurses and EMTs would do everything to try and help Krys. Weren't just going to let her die, he knew that. But he couldn't help but think that her life wasn't as important to them as it was to him. They didn't know her, how could they try their very hardest to save her. So many people went into the hospitals everyday. And she was a suicide victim. What if they figured that they would go one and try and save someone who wanted to be alive, not knowing that Krys had made a mistake. If they knew she was FBI would that make them want to help her more? How did they choose who to give the most attention. They were out numbered two to one. Reid felt that if he wasn't there, if he couldn't see her, then she might as well be dead, until he was told other wise.
Reid knew Morgan's words were right. They would do their best, even if he couldn't see them be it. They had for Garcia, and him and who ever else had been in hot water and need hospital care over the years. More people lived than died when they went to the hospital. But then could Spencer be sure that Krys really was sorry about doing that. How could he knew. It wasn't like she was really clear minded when he saw her. Her I'm sorry's could have been for the wrong thing... They didn't know. If she did live then would she be the same? Would she try again? He didn't want to see her hurt. If she really thought death was better than her life her then why should he try and stop her? A better question was why had she tried in the first place? Was she not happy? Was it him? He knew just how emotionally scared she was, even before the kidnapping, was that the last straw? Maybe Reid had her all wrong... something wasn't right with her though.
Despite all that he decided that he wasn't going to leave her. He would always he there for her, no matter what. Looking at Morgan, though blurry eyes he asked, again in a hoarse dead sounding voice. "Can we get to the hospital?" He knew neither of them were in any shape to be driving, but he needed to get there as soon as he could and talk to a doctor. Get some answers.
