"I do though." Her brown eyes shot up though firm there was a gentleness to them as she took a step back from Derek's touch. This wasn't done in panic but she just wished to put some distance between them. The fact that she let him even touch her spoke volumes. But baby steps. Baby steps. "Because if we never met none of what had happened to him would have... Well... Happened.."
Krys shifted some where she stood as she searched for instances to provide as proof. She always liked her facts. It was partially why her and Spencer got along so well, their appreciation for facts (though Krys could appreciate feelings more than the boy genius could). In some ways, she had been teaching him how to. "He wouldn't have gotten sick. He wouldn't be upset. He wouldn't have shot that guy..." The sound of gun shots rang in her memory's ear. Spencer had killed Gerald, whether by accident or because he thought it was the right thing to do Krys blamed herself for the trouble he had gotten himself into. "Everything would have been fine if we never met. Everything would have been the same and I know that you know that."

He let her step back, his hand falling slowly back to his side. He wasn't offended that she'd stepped away from him - after what she'd been through, the fact that she allowed him to be anywhere close to her was amazing.
"Krys, sometimes things change. Every day, every move that people make changes something in their future." He paused and caught her eye. "Sometimes change is bad - but this isn't one of those times, kiddo. This is one of those times. You and Reid - that's a good change, for both you and him.
Sure, maybe if you and Reid never met things would be the same. Right now, you'd be sitting in your office and Reid would be sitting in his. I definitly wouldn't have about twenty movies in a bag because I didn't know which one was your favorite. But Krys - that's not how things are always going to be, whether you'd come along or not. One day, somethings going to change. And I think that you're the change that Reid needs."
He spoke the truth as he knew it from the bottom of his heart. He'd never seen the BAU's resisdent genius so different - but it was a good kind of different. It was a kind of different that meant Reid was happier these days - until she'd left. Until everything had fallen apart and she'd booked it to the mountains. No, Morgan had never seen Reid happier before those times - and he, Derek Morgan, planned to see that happiness come back to his 'kid brother'.
"Krys, I spent my entire life dodging things. I'll sit there on that phone with Garcia and ..." He trailed off, realizing who he was talking to. It could easily get back to her. But really, what did he have to lose? "Instead of admitting things, I keep it safe. Because across the phone, nothing has to remain real. I'm afraid of getting hurt or hurting her and I stay away because I always think that's whats best for everyone involved. I don't have the trust in me to ... " He trailed off, shaking his head. "I'm diverting, kiddo - but do you understand what I'm telling you? I know what you're thinking, Krys - and you're wrong.
He loves you. And I know you love him."

She felt guilty in that moment. Mainly for putting Derek Morgan in a fairly awful position. He had traveled all of this way on his own accord (well, Penelope's really) and even though Krys didn't exactly know why he had come so far she half expected it wasn't to be pushed away just to drive/fly all the way back to Virginia. Virgnia to the Adirondacks wasn't exactly a ten minute drive. Krys didn't mean to be difficult, she didn't mean to frusterate him, she just couldn't give him what she figured he wanted. She was letting down a lot of people lately it seemed.
"What good came from that change?" She inquired, her face firm. She didn't mean to be a brick wall but she couldn't really believe him. She was glad in this moment that her legs weren't turning into jello like they always seemed to nowadays when she spoke of any topic having remotely anything to do with Spencer Reid. "He shot someone. He killed a man Agent Morgan. He's in trouble because of it and probably darn pissed at me." Her eyes glanced to the floor with the weakest of smiles, trying desperately not to let her emotions get the best of her. "He has good reason to be."
Looking up suddenly from the ground at Derek's words she blinked, a frown on her face. "Spence... Spencer doesn't need to change. Not at all. He's perfect the way he is." She didn't realize how utterly pathetic that it sounded. Of course she was in love with him. She could hide it, she could try and quell it, but it was blatantly clear. Everyone knew that despite Spencer being a genius that he wasn't perfect. He used to be frightened of everything out of the ordinary but slowly that was changing, but in Krys' eyes, even with the struggle that he put up sometimes, he was perfect.
In hearing Derek's words about her friend Penelope she felt the air get sucked right out of her. He used the 'l' word for her own case. He knew. And he was hurting too. At first the ex analyst couldn't speak, so she swallowed, gathering her words. "You're right." The response had been feather light, barely audible, but there. "I do love him. I love him so much." Her voice crackled, she was holding back tears, tightening her jaw which threatemed to quiver. "But if you mean what you say you know why I can't go back... Not now..."
Her eyes broke away from the agent and glanced down at her wrists. Still bandaged. Still obvious. She was a marked woman. After all that had happened Spencer Reid would want nothing to do with her no matter how she felt. Not after what she did. Not after she took off. Not when he knew apparently how troubled she was. "But you should tell Penelope..." Her voice was hoarse as she turned the tables, but she meant the words that she spoke. "You really should.""Krys..." The feminine voice came from the porch of the cabin. Even through the dark you could see the bleach blonde thing strands of the second oldest Robin: Laura. She wore purple pajama bottoms and a white tanktop, a fashionable tan coat over it with a thin scarf blowing in the slight breeze. Carefully she came down the stairs in bare feet. The fact that she had spoken at all with a non friend (Derek whom she didn't know well) on the grounds was a miracle as Laura was usually quite shy.
Moving alongside Krys she kept her blue eyes focused on her older sister (slightly diverted down as Krys was a good inch or two shorter). "Keith is looking for you. His Xbox isn't working on the tv." Yes, the Robin siblings had invented a diversion once they saw Derek Morgan emerge from his car, and Laura had lost rock paper scissors and had to be the first one to try and break up the scene. Though downtrodden the Robins did have a soul and cared a great deal, though usually they were passive about it (except maybe Julia).
Turning her soft gaze back on Derek Laura shifted giving a very slight toss of her hair tucking the thin strands behind her ear. "Good evening Agent Morgan." Yes, short and sweet. She wasn't meaning to be rude, Laura was just, by nature, very shy. It was probably for the best that she was the one to come outside though because Julia would have tried to hit on Derek while Keith would have begun to talk baseball. No, Laura was more organized and liked things just so and according to plan.
Casting a sideways glance she caught glimpse of the Cubs hat on her older sister's head. She couldn't help but give a thin little innocent smirk. A jab between sisters. "Nice hat."

"Krys, if it hadn't been him, it would have been someone else. He's going to get cleared for that, I promise you. He didn't shoot Gerald needlessly, Krys - he had you, he had Jack - do you think Hotch isn't thinking the same thing that you are? I had to hold him back so he didn't do the very thing that Reid did. Jack didn't need to see that - someone would have shot Gerald either way and I know that you know that. He doesn't blame you. Nobody does. Nobody ever did."
He couldn't tell Krys that he couldn't tell Garcia - wouldn't that be just the perfect hypocritcal thing for him to do. No, he couldn't mention it - it probably had been a mistake in the first place, and he only hoped it didn't get back to her. He wasn't good enough for his baby girl - no, she needed something more than him.
Before he could speak his next words, he was cut off by the emergence of one of the Robin siblings - a few inches taller than Krys, blonde and blue eyed, and clad in pajamas - hadn't Krys told him that all of them had been asleep? They'd either been spying or woken up, either way she was there now, and their conversation was cut short.
"Xbox?" Morgan shrugged his shoulders. "I may be able to fix that - if not, I've got someone on speedial who can help Keith fix it over the phone." He winked, casting a glance at Krys. He didn't want to overstep any boundaries - not that any hadn't been overstepped in the conversation that they'd just had.
"You must be Laura." Morgan flashed a smile and held out his hand to the shy Robin sister.

"You must be Laura." "Mm hm." Laura gave a quiet nod before reaching out her own slightly tanned hand to grasp the darker one that had been offered. He seemed friendly enough and they had crossed paths before: not complete strangers. "We've met before." She offered, there was nothing scathing about it. "At your division actually." She left it at that. No point in bringing up words from the situation that might bring up unpleasant memories for her elder sister.
"You can fix his Xbox?" Laura inquired, obviously intrigued despite how absolutely standoffish she was. Unlike Julia, Laura gave everyone a fair offered chance, she was too passive with outsiders (much like Keith) to do anything else. Though she knew darn well what Julia would do, it was no secret that she found the man attractive and whatever Julia wanted, Julia got. She was just as determined as her mother, whereas Laura just looked like her. Laura longed for the days where Julia had been innocent, kind, before she had been corrupted.
"I'm sure he'd appreciate it. He's been trying to get it set up since we got here. He doesn't go anywhere without it." Laura explained still keeping a careful vigil beside her sister. Krys meanwhile crossed her arms over her chest, allowing Laura to have control of the scene that was playing out between them all."It's okay. Agent Morgan can." Krys finally spoke up causing Laura to glance at her sister, somewhat surprised that she had chosen to socialize. "I tried earlier in the week but my..." her voice trailed off. She had been about to say wrists but she didn't want to make anyone feel awkward given the situation, so instead a blush rose to her cheeks, lost in the night air. "-started hurting so I couldn't really... Mess with it." Oh boy."You don't have to go Agent Morgan." Came Julia's voice, also from the porch which she strode down with such grace that went beyond her years. It was a practiced art really. Step by step she glided, her hand clasping the railing until she approached the growing group. Unlike her siblings she was not in pajamas (had she honestly changed out of them once she saw who was in the vehicle?!) but she wore a white skirt and light green tanktop, not a good decision considering the nippy night weather. Now poor Keith was left inside all alone because Julia had her eye on the prize.
"Krys, you didn't tell me your friend was coming." She commented cooly, a calm little smirk on her lipgloss painted lips as she stopped beside Laura. The two really did look alike despite the two year age difference between them. "It's great to see you again Agent Morgan. Derek. Really, it is." Laura rolled her eyes but said nothing. It was best to remain quiet when this fireball was involved."I didn't know he was coming." Krys murmured in soft retaliation but she knew that her words weren't being heard. Ah well. It happens.

"Yeah, I can give it a shot. I've had my fair share of xboxes in the days. " And if he couldn't, he'd call Garcia. She'd probably want an update on what was going on, anyway. His eyes met Krys' again - did she know that he was already thinking of all the ways that telling her could go wrong? He couldn't tell her. Maybe one day the time would be right, but it wasn't now. She deserved more than him.
"You don't have to go, Agent Morgan."
He turned to face the incoming girl - Julia. They'd met once, and he hadn't failed to notice exactly what she thought of him. He was used to the reaction, and had even had a laugh over it with Reid once, but hear it could prove to get annoying.
"I didn't have any plans to leave." He said, flashing a smile before turning his eyes back to Krys. "I have some XBOXs to fix, and plenty of things in this bag for a weekend of fun. Name your favorite movie, Penelope probably put it in this bag."
ooc// Sorry for the sucky, yucky post.

"I didn't have any plans to leave. I have some XBOXs to fix, and plenty of things in this bag for a weekend of fun. Name your favorite movie, Penelope probably put it in this bag."
"Krys' favorite movie is the Lord of the Rings." Laura spoke up, showing an odd flash of boldness in her own response that those who knew her would be able to appreciate. Laura rarely spoke up for herself, let alone loud enough for others, so this was one of those rare shining moments. It appeared that even Krys was surprised, looking to her sister with a raised brow, while Julia had a more accusatory way about her own facial expression.
"Keith told me. She also likes War of the Worlds." Laura admitted with a gentle little smile and a half shrug before she looked to Derek Morgan with a bit of a blush just from speaking out loud in front of him. "It's one of his favorites too. Keith usually likes movies with a bit more explosions." Yep, despite his upbringing Keith was a regular teenage boy to be sure.
"What else do you have in your bag of tricks Agent Morgan?" Julia asked cooly, her calm smile once again over her lips. She took a single step forward in approach, tilting her head downward ever so slightly in a natural, sultry sort of manner. Julia had that sort of thing coined. She would end up getting many a man in trouble with her looks and skills, mainly for them 'meddling' with an underage girl.
"Julia-" Laura warned, her eyes slightly surprised that her younger sister was acting in such a manner: in front of a federal agent too! But Laura lacked the boldness to do anything about it, especially in front of company.
"Tell me, Agent Morgan... Does that awful Agent Grimaldi still work at Krys' old job?" Yep, Julia could be just as blunt as her older sister, but for some reason with her it was far less appealing. It probably had something to do with the way that her face scrunched up, like she was disgusted by the mere image of Matthew Grimaldi.
Krys however, had still remained horribly quiet...

He opened his mouth and closed it again. He'd been about to say that Reid, too, liked Lord of the Rings, but he stopped the sentence before he allowed it to even start. Instead, he said, "Check on both of those - and I've got the new and old versions of the latter. Maybe it'll distract him long enough to keep the smores away." He winked at Krys but the young woman still wasn't responding, and it was beginning to worry him a bit.
"What else do you have in your bag of tricks, Agent Morgan?"
Oh, the third youngest sibling was going to be a handfull. He was already anticipating all the dodges that he'd have to make with her - but he was used to it. He was more than able to handle these situations gracefully. Derek Morgan hadn't met his match yet.
"Julia-"
He sent a kind look towards the protesting Robin sibling. She didn't have to handle it, he would. "Movies, one. Smores, secondly. Board games. And more." He wasn't willing to give up all his 'tricks' just yet.
"Tell me, Agent Morgan... Does that awful Agent Grimaldi still work at Krys' old job?"
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, rotating his jaw from side to side. One hand reached up and rubbed the back of his neck. That 'awful Agent Grimaldi'? Not only had he always been there for the ex-technical analyst, but Morgan had witnessed the man plenty of times act as a father to her. He was about to respond to Julia - with what, he wasn't sure, whatever came out of his mouth, perhaps - when he noticed that Krys still hadn't made a sound. He needed to break up this situation, quickly.
"Agent Grimaldi still works at Counter Terror. Krys, your choice of movie first." He moved from sentence to sentence without any transition. [/color]

"Agent Grimaldi still works at Counter Terror. Krys, your choice of movie first." "Ugh." Julia wrinkled up her nose in disgust. "I was never a fan of him, nor was my mother." She concluded, apparently unable to have a thought that was all her own outside the grasp of her mother (even when the woman was no where in sight). Julia had always been like that, ever since she was a very young age and her mother used to perch her atop her lap at every available moment. Laura was much the same way until she went away to University and ended up developing the start of a personality that was all her own. There was no telling if this would eventually happen to Julia.
"He is so rough around the edges, you know?" She pursed her lipgloss clad lips for a moment sucking in her angular cheeks. "Always grunting and looking awfully down about something." Julia shook her head as the long, thin, bleack blonde strands cascaded down her tanned skin (which was lost in the moonlight). "You'd think the man would have a little more class given that he works for the FBI. Not at all like you Agent Morgan." Julia then allowed herself to give a sly, seductive little smile and took another step in approach toward the agent. Krys remained quiet still, detached from the moment, despite her opinion on Matthew which was of nothing but the best regard. "Julia has a bad run in with Agent Grimaldi." Laura took it upon herself to explain, outstretching her arm to keep Julia from stepping forward even an inch further at which point she would be basically ontop of the agent. "She didn't like the way he handled things... Back when...""What are you doing here?" Came the youngest Robin's voice from the stairs as Keith jogged into view, a red hoodie on his hands tucked into the front pocket, blonde hair a tussel, he never had much luck combing it. "Agent Morgan, you don't work near here." Announced the boy in a soft voice with a skeptic sort of look as he studied the man up and down. He had been watching from inside the cabin and even if Derek was offering to help with his xbox he wasn't sure if he approved."Agent Morgan is here visiting Krys." Laura explained, keeping it short and simple, just the way she liked it. She never liked speaking more than she had to, and when she did it was polite and quiet, just like her.

He knew as he said it that he was probably overstepping a boundary - but he didn't like the way that Krys had stopped talking. It was the same as it was with Reid - he felt that kid sister protective urge, and he couldn't help but put a stop to what was going on. He let her talk first - he didn't think that anyone would stop her if she really wanted to - but he had his say after she finished. It also just wasn't that he was protecting Krys - he also didn't see it right for Julia to talk nastily about the Agent that had saved Krys - even if she didn't see it that way, Agent Grimaldi was a good man.
"Agent Grimadldi's a good man." He answered shortly, knowing that it was going to most likely get him on her bad side, but he wasn't here for her - he was here for Krys. "And there won't be any talking bad of him while I'm here."
"Julia has a bad run in with Agent Grimaldi. She didn't like the way he handled things... Back when..."
"I understand," Morgan said, nodding his head to Laura in silent acknowledgment of her help. "and I'm sorry for that - but it's not right to talk about him like that whatever your opinion is, Julia."
It was at that point that the youngest Robin sibling came out - the only male, Keith. Morgan immediatly saw the question in the young man's eyes, and was grateful when Laura answered the question for him.
"Hey man." Morgan offered his hand for Keith to shake. "You're the one who's going to steal the smores?" He winked at Krys. "Not a chance."
