Matt quickly glanced over his shoulder briskly as Hayley when she offered to take Spencer out of the drug house. He seemed hesitant at first, but the resistance was brief (they didn't have the time to mess around and be leisurely) and eventually he gave her a response of 'go ahead' in the form of a grunt and nod before he looked back to Spencer Reid who seemed absolutely angered about something from the way he was yelling. Not that Matthew blamed him. Sometimes he got furious just thinking about what had happened, what was still happening. Sometimes it got just a little bit harder to hold it in. It was a constant fight that he had to put up every single day within himself.
"I don't think you're dumb at all kid. Not in the slightest." Matthew said under his breath, trying very hard to be gentle while trying to get through his thick skull. His large hand reached out and gave Spencer's thin shoulder a squeeze, attempting to brace him so they could talk, but Spencer continued his little tyrade, Matthew couldn't do much but speak in the gaps of open time that were available, hoping to be heard. "But Robin is sick. She needs to get better before she can come back, alright?" Would the young man ever understand?
"I told you, I don't know where she is." Matthew frowned, holding his temper and his tongue for the most part as he released Spencer before nodding toward Hayley. "She does." Sure he had just outted her, hopefully she would forgive him. She had to understand that it was for the best and it would make getting Spencer Reid out of the drug house safe and sound much more likely. "But she won't give you the address either. She won't even give it to me. Krys needs to get better before she can come back and that means staying away from us too, kid." His words were low, but still somehow gentle despite the tone, his own darkened eyes sought out Spencer's deathly ill ones.
Watching Spencer burry his face in his knees and thighs Matt felt a twinge of guilt in his large chest. Swallowing he made up his mind and bent down with ease hoisted Spencer right to his feet all the while grunting out the muffled words. "We all love her too kid. We're hurting too. Don't forget that." He warned, really, it was the first time he was round about-ly admitting how he felt about the ex data analyst (having used the l-word). It was complicated, hopefully he wouldn't have to explain too much in depth.

She knew that he'd done it for Reid - that he needed to do so to get him out of the situation that they were in. But still, she had to restrain herself not to throw some sarcastic Chez comment back at him - he'd thrown her under the bus, just when she was about to take Reid out of the room alone. She knew that she could get something to Krys if she tried hard enough - it might nearly kill her to do so, but she could do it - the burden of being the only one who knew where Krys was sometimes felt as if it were choking her.
She had a loyalty, first and foremost to Krys, to not tell anyone - the analyst needed that. She needed this time right now, needed this time alone. With that thought in her head, she also knew now that Reid was spiraling - and he needed something, anything, a spark of hope if he was to be saved from this waste. "Yeah, I know where she is. She is sick, Reid - she needs this time alone. Try to understand that, Reid. Please." She watched as Matt tried to talk Reid out of this - Hayley was ready whenever he was, if he was ever ready. She could see in his eyes that he was debating if he was even worth leaving the room - she remembered feeling that when she'd been rescued. Was she worth it after her brother was dead, that agent was dead?
But she had been. She knew that now. And she'd left that room and she'd gone forward in her life. "Please, Reid. Come with me."

Reid knew that Krys was sick. But then if she was than weren't the all? Was Reid sick? Maybe he was. It sure seemed like it. But her actions still didn't make any sense. Isolation had been what had driven her to her suicide attempt in the first place, right? After the night they had kissed she had blocked herself out from the world. And because she didn't talk to anyone, explain what was going she was led to make the biggest mistake of her life. So what would leaving altogether do? If she thought that Reid would be mad at her for doing what she did than she was wrong. Reid didn't care that she had lost it. He didn't care that she even left. All he wanted now was her to come back. For things to go back to the way they were before. He wanted to go to the arcade with her. He wanted to go ice skating. Give her some random facts. He had done some research, he was sure that he could beat her in their little game with all the new stuff that he had learned in the last month.
When it was reveled that Hayley knew where Krys was Reid didn't even blink. Inside he was burning, wanting to yell at her to tell him where Krys was. But somehow he knew that it wouldn't do any good. He had given up on that. He knew that Krys needed to come back on her own time. If she had decided that she couldn't be there, that something wasn't right between her and him then that was her choose. There was nothing that he could do. She would just need to live her life the way she wanted to. And if she was happy than he would be happy. He wasn't going to refuse the offer though. He was going to try and get a message to her. Try and remind her of what they had before she left. In a way he had had this idea for a long time. Ever since he placed the small finger puppet in his pocket never to take it out, other than to change pants.
As Matt lifted him on to his feet Reid didn't struggle, or help. He knew that the best thing to do was to get out of the drug house and talk to Chez alone. Get her to take a message to Krys for him. When Chez motioned for him to follow him he started to walk forward a little weakly. With Chez's help they started to make there way out of the house, luckily unbothered by anyone else.

Hayley sent one more quiet look to Matt before they left the room - saying, with her eyes, that she'd take care of Reid - and for him and Kate to be careful here. The two of them were more than capable of doing this job - she was only an added asset. Hayley and Spencer made their way through the crowd as if they belonged - as if they were any other careless couple that walked mindlessly through this house.
She saw Kate in the crowd as they made their way through and out of the house. There was nobody stopping them this time, but she didn't dare to breathe a sigh of relief, not just yet. She all to well knew the dangers of letting your guard down, of forgetting yourself in that one careless moment...
and then they were out. It came nearly before she'd realized it, the air around them was fresh and not full of the sweat inside the house, the inscense the drugs had created. It was only then that the air wooshed out of her, and she turned back to the young man next to her, once they were far enough away from the house.
She'd never seen him in such a bad way - he wasn't himself, and she still couldn't stand to see such waste. He was such a bright person - why was he wasting it now? Why - because of Krys, she knew, but it still didn't make any sense to her. He had life, and he'd chosen to waste it. [/font]

Reid made his way out of the drug house almost blindly. Not seeing where he was going, or the faces that pasted him. This had been much of the last month. Even with out the drugs the first two weeks. He hadn't seen a thing. Hadn't seen a person. There was nothing else that he could see, not with out Krys, and she was gone. And now in his blank, pained mind he felt like she would be gone forever. Even with the hope that Hayley knew where the other female was wasn't enough to convince the genius that she was coming back. It all didn't make sense. Why would she leave just to come back? Maybe that was the drugs speaking. It didn't matter either way Reid had given up on any hope.
Even so when the exited the house he began to contemplate taking Matt up on his offer. Maybe it was the fresh, cool air that was rushing into his lungs. Maybe it was the sudden feeling of being alone, not just feeling alone, but having no one but Chez near him. The true aloneness that seemed to bring a calm to him. That seemed to take much of the pressure that had started to build in the house away. Maybe it was the fact that Matt wasn't there. The one man that scared Reid more than anyone else right now. Not even Hotch came close. There was something about the other man that made it apparent that there was nothing stopping him from killing a man, from killing Spencer Reid.
What ever the reason Reid found himself reaching into his pocket a few moments after Chez and him where alone out side. He knew what he was doing with out even thinking it. It had been his plan all a long. He had seen that it would be needed the moment Oliver found the small finger puppet in his draws weeks ago. Not till this moment did he understand why he had placed the first gift Krys had ever given to him in his pocket and after that always kept it with him. Deep down he knew that he was going to give it back to Krys at one point. To try and reminder her of what they had before the kidnapping. Remind her about the first time they meet and went to the arcade. Remind her of how much Reid actually loves her. And maybe then she might come back, and if she didn't, than at least he would know that it wasn't meant to be. Then he might be able to forget and move on.
Pulling the small plastic toy out of his pocket he looked at it a moment. Then he looked up at Hayley standing in front of him. Taking a long breath he asked, "Could you.... could you give this to Krys?" He held out his hand with the finger puppet in the palm of his hand. That was all he said. He wasn't going to give her a message, he knew Krys would understand. It was a message that only the two of them knew the code to. And Reid hoped that she would always remember it.
