Beep beep!
A car whizzed along the road, leaving Jack by the side, lost and wondering. His mother was buying things at the mall, and he had drifted out into the streets. This was bad, very bad, of course, considering that he was such a young child. Plus, he had almost got ridden over by a car. Twice.
But that didn't really phase Jack. He still wandered the streets in no direction, passing by stores and people with a grin on his face. He smiled around at the people who pass by him, making him an ideal target for a crime. Jack ran across another road, nearly missing a hit and run with a motorcycle.
He at last came to a stop by a bench outside a convenience store. The kid sat down, looking around with his brightly lit dark eyes.
OOC: Sucky post, sorry.

(OOC: I like the title. XP) Quin held the cup of coffee in his left hand, walking through the streets with his other hand, the right one, tucked in his jacket pocket. Taking a sip off his warm beverage, Quin kept his pace, walking to the forensics Virginia office with his head hung low.
He came to a stop when he saw a little kid by the roadside, running across the street. "Hey! Hey kid!" He panicked, running after the child and almost getting hit himself. He followed the child through the street, stopping in his tracks when the kid did.
The boy was now sitting on a bench and staring around. Curiously, he approached the kid, confused on what to do. He lifted his head and sat beside the kid, hoping to not pose a threat. "Hey kid, what're you doing out here?" he asked cautiously, leaning back in his chair and seeming casual.
He took his phone out and looked at the time. Heh, he had time to spare with the kid. A full half hour, in fact. Quin turned in his position to face the boy. "What's your name, buddy?" He wasn't good with kids, but he felt weird leaving him there.

Jack looked at the guy next to him. Had he been following Jack? Confused, jack inched away a little and gulped. This guy was tall... Jack had to look up at him even when the guy was sitting. Swinging his legs around the air, Jack stared at the man with his eyes squinted curiously. He grinned at the tall dude, answering simply, "I was bored."
Jack stretched his legs, yawning in the process. He turned back to the man, grinning widely as he said proudly, "Jack! Jack Hotchner!"
He got up from his seat and went over to Quin's side, standing beside him and tapping the lid of the coffee cup. "What's your name?" The kid looked up at Quin's face, squinting his eyes. He looked familiar... maybe one of the things when his dad brought him over to the office. Who knew, but Jack shrugged, leaning against the armrest on the wooden bench, waiting for an answer from the 'tallie'.

Stacey rushed through the crowd, quickly, attempting to keep her star bucks frappachino from spilling out onto the grime coated sidewalk. Why on earth is this happening to me? She thought in pure annoyance.
Trevor really didn't care. Why did he pretend to? She couldn't comprehend why on earth the man would be trying to talk to her again. Why? Maybe he was just regretful of what he said the night before..."nothing more than an orphan to me", that still hurt. The pain those few words had caused was almost unbelievable.
A pain that felt like a paper cut, strait to her barely beating heart. The heart that had already been broken more than once. Oh why was this happening to her??
