Toriann paced a bit as she waited outside the club that SSA Jennifer Jareau had instructed to meet her at, not at all surprised to find that she was late. It wouldn't have bothered her, really, if she were in a part of town that she was familiar with. As it were, she usually didn't spend much time in Quantico, choosing to remain in her own district, closer to her home and her job. But, JJ had wanted to come here, and considering all she'd done to help lift her spirits, she wasn't about to refuse her.
It wasn't much of a surprise that JJ was late. Why didn't it bother though? Well, maybe because she was always late. Tori darted her glances around and looked for the blonde. Since it was Tori's last night in Virginia, it was rather essential that she met JJ again before she left back to Washington.
If she didn't show up within the next ten minutes, however, she was going to have to leave. The rather uncomfortable outfit she was wearing didn't help the stares she was getting from men who were much older than she, making her feel the slightest bit uncomfortable. She'd have gone inside to wait, but she didn't really think that would help, and knowing JJ she'd wind up standing around outside wondering where she was. This whole situation had the potential to get confusing rather quickly. Maybe she shouldn't have agreed to this?
No, don't do this, Tori told herself sternly. You're going to have a good time tonight. Don't shoot yourself in the foot.
She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, anxiously waiting the arrival of her new found close friend.

JJ was indeed running late, or walking late as it were, she strolled up the street to where she was to meet her little Toriann Daire, they where out to find her a new man, so this club was the best bet for it, it was lively and had a good reputation, plus Jennifer had been there a few times already and enjoyed it imensely, the drink was reasonably priced and the tender was pleasent; but of course, she was a married woman and knew not to play around any more.
Jennifer was actually looking a bit casual today, a comment on cleaning herself up, or down, had not gone unnoticed, and it resulted in her wearing a teenager-ish pair or jeans, not the plaited or sleek kind she had taken a shine to, and a soft cotton t-shirt. She had her hair tied back in a large ponytail and was even wearing stunning make-up, making her look two or so years much younger than she was.
As she rounded the corner she let out a low wistle as she saw a young little girl in a red outfit, wondering what on earth she was doing there, until she realized that in fact, that young girl was the person she was supposed to meet up with. But now, there was one thing on her mind. Drink.
"Sorry I'm late Tee, I had a problem getting my hair to behave. Shall we?" JJ told the girl, smirking as she knew that Tori knew not of her plans in getting a guy for her.

Tori almost didn't recognize her friend as she came down the street, having to do a double, then a triple take. She'd cleaned herself up, -wait, no down- as Tori had suggested before the citation that day, and... Had she tied her hair back with a thick scrunchie? She had! Goodness, what a difference it made. She'd always been formally charming before, but now... Tori was impressed at how strange just wearing a less ironed shirt and a more tight pair of pants could make one look. She smirked at JJ, wondering what made her decide to change her style.
"Oh, that's alright. I haven't been here long," she lied smoothly, giving JJ another half smile. "But what've you done with JJ?" she asked, though she made her strong sarcasm quick and clear. She turned and began to head into the bar. In truth, she was a little nervous about this excursion.
She knew JJ well enough to know that she spent most of her time being a sensible woman, but she was also very much a rather dreamy woman, which often made Tori a leetle nervous around her... Well, she'd just have to be alert, that was all. The last thing she needed was to have JJ forcing her with some guy. Sure, Tori wasn't much of a type for 'fun', but she certainly didn't intend on getting shoved into it by someone who was five years older than her.
Really, JJ should know better.
OOC;; Sorry it's kinda crappy, Ax. =) Bit of a dead muse, is all.

If JJ really knew what Tori was thinking she would have smirked, but she didn't know, so she was left to be smiling to her instead, JJ somehow did not believe that she had not been here long, just judging from the gawking stares from some of the older gentlemen around, but if she said she wasn't, that was good enough for Jennifer.
She extended an arm to her and led her into the bar, one for the bouncers raising an eyebrow to this as JJ usually came alone and left with someone (That was, of course, history to her now) As the doors opened, a wave of music and the smell of alcohol hit them, not entirely unpleasant, but the bar was crowded tonight. JJ hastily made her way through brushing up against people till she made it to the bar, the dance floor was hopping and JJ smiled to Tori.
"I love this place, the music is strange, but it has a beat to it."
She was talking loud enough for her to hear, but not too loud, the music was at just the right level, at that she leaned on the counter and as if by magic a female bartender was over to the two of them.
"Nice to see you again Libby. I will have my usual (that being a kiwi martini) and whatever this young lady is having," she nodded to Tori, looking around in anticipation for a good-looking guy. For Tori of course, she was married, for God's sake.

Tori tried, and did, her best to ignore the looks she was getting from the other club goers, keeping her focus on the cursed woman who had brought her to this place. That was it. If she didn't look at them, they wouldn't look at her, and all would be right. Or, so she kept telling herself. She sat next to JJ at the bar, tugging her maroon red dress down to where it was at least halfway close to her knees, as opposed to practically around her hips where it wanted to sit. Pushing her hair behind her ear, she drummed her fingers on the bar, debating whether she should try ordering anything heavy.
Nah, it wouldn't be worth it if she got drunk. Then she'd have to blame JJ for somthing. "I'll just have water, thank you," she told Libby, smiling a little. JJ probably wouldn't have cared if she got herself a drink, but she just didn't want to risk it. Besides, it'd be better if she were aware of who JJ was trying to set her up with, as opposed to off on some other planet.
"This music is strange," she agreed after a moment, not having really been paying attention to the music when they walked in. "And I guess this is what all the teens listen to nowadays." Tori wasn't old, that's for sure, but she settled for classic and sweet gentle songs, not the blaring pump around her now.

Libby just nodded and walked away, leaving JJ to turn and look at the rather naive Tori. She was drinking water, well, JJ actually suppose it was to be expected, but then again JJ would be smashed and killed by Tori soon, once her plan was right as rain and active. So, it might be better if she was a bit more woozy.
"I wont be saying anything if you want to risk a drink, might help you to ease your spirits a bit, you know?"
She then listened to the music and nodded somewhat to Toriann's statement, it had taken her a while to get used to it, but the beat had a tendancy to reverate through you, and the more drunk you were, the better it felt.
JJ kicked herself mentally. She was a Media Liaison, an agent on the force. Why on Earth was she here in the first place? Well, it was a weekend, and it's just really unfair that you don't get to tune down and relax every now and then.
"Some tunes are better than others, some nights they have open mic sessions." But then again she wasn't one for singing. "So while we wait for you to be noticed, whats on your mind?"
JJ, unsurprisingly, made a slip up there and hoped Tori didn't notice it.
