"You know there’s got to be a faster way to do this. How about we just change the first question to ‘have you recently dated a homicidal pyromaniac?’"

Your Name: Leah.
How many years roleplaying?: Around 7.
French poet Jacques Rigaut said, "Don't forget that I cannot see myself. My role is limited to being the one who looks in the mirror."

Character Name: Krys Robin.
Age: 21.
Date of Birth: August 5th.
Residence: New York. Though the Bureau has been known to put her up in hotel rooms at various locations.
Profession: She's a computer hacker, much like Garcia but her strengths lie in different areas. While Garcia is far better at social inneractions, Krys is far more sarcastic. She is also more likely to be uprooted from her home and travel for other jobs. Krys works for counter terrorism and unlike Garcia, Krys Robin goes to colleges to speak.
Appearance: Krys is not a super model by any means. A girl of tomboyish looks who pays less attention to her appearance than Janet Jackson pays to her boobage area on the superbowl. A brush through the hair and shoving on clothes is about the best you'll get out of her.
She did play sports as a child, her parents made her along with her siblings, so her physique still maintains a bit of that structure but having not played in a while so she's losing what little muscle she had.
She has brown hair and brown eyes that can be very telling about how she's feeling. Her eyes are the most expressive part of her along with her varied, exagarated facial expressions. She also has a pair of black rimmed glasses that she'll wear occasionally when she's in front of a computer.
Usual Clothing: Jeans and mismatched shirts. Sometimes she'll shove on a sweater or just show up to work in pajama bottoms. When you're working with computers in a dark room all day you just get used to that sort of life.
She can be made to dress up and cleans up rather decently but that's only because no one ever sees her in a dress and makeup. So really as opposed to lovely it's just 'different'. A difference people seem to like.
Personality: Krys is a very intelligent person with razor sharp wit to fit. She can be very stubborn and will do just about anything for the friends that she has (and occasionally a stranger).
From being cooped up with computers all day when she gets around people she can be a bit excitable and often explodes into grand gestures and jokes just to get a laugh. Krys is more at ease with boys, always has been since a young age, but she can get along with females as well, as long as they can handle her.
History: Krys was adopted by two uptight Republican parents who maintained fairly regular jobs. The couple later birthed three children so why the adopted was lost on everyone else. From the outside world everyone thought they were the perfect family. This however was not the case.
Krys was regularly beaten by her father during late nights. He often invented odd punishments for her such as locking her in a closet for two days for dropping a dish when she was four. It's because of this Krys developed a tough skin and a desperately trying to be positive, yet sarcastic, tone. No one ever found out about the abuse and Krys spent most of her time not socializing but rather reading, studying, and playing on computers.
Eventually she began to test her skills by hacking into systems. It started with the library, then her school, and then by 17 it escalated to the government. She never messed with anything but always just did so to prove that she could. One day some agents raided her home much to her parents surprise and she was almost arrested if it wasn't for the burreau deciding to harness her 'powers for good instead of evil' much like they did with Garcia.
Krys then began to work for counter terrorism in the city. Occasionally she'll be used for college speaking gigs or by other bureaus for various little cases. Really she doesn't mind being burried in work as long as she is no where near her family.
Likes:Computers, bantering, sarcasm, videogames, animals, traveling, and being in the midst of 'action'.
Dislikes: Speaking to colleges when the kids don't even care, uptight people, being spoken down to, people who judge based on looks, people who judge rashly, and the color pink.
Strengths:

-Can't reach the top of her own fridge
Parents: David and Susan.
Krys is the only adopted child and has 3 siblings. She looks and acts absolutely nothing like them which adds to the estrangement from most everyone she's related to (except her little brother).
Her parents actually thought she was going to be a boy hence the name (their favorite storybook character) but when she came out they just fiddled with the spelling and there you have it!
Siblings: Three. Two sisters and one brother.
Spouse: None.
Children: None.
Anything Else? Krys actually has an underlying case of depression that no one knows about. She doesn't even realize it herself.
Roleplay Sample:
"GOD DAMNIT!" Krys cried out with a loud gasp in the dark room as she accidentally knocked her can of red Amp Energy Drink across the very expensive new keyboard that the FBI had purchased.
Scrambling to her feet with widened eyes she practically slid across the tiles in her converse sneakers. Reaching out frantically cursing repeatedly under her breath she pulled out a few sheets of papertowels. "This is EXACTLY why I just wanted to use my laptop!" She announced to no one in particular as though it was the most obvious thing in the whole world before she rushed back to the desk pressing the paper towels down, dabbing every which way trying to soak up the liquid to no avail.
Squatting down she pressed her lips against the edge of the table and tried to suck up the remaining contents before it could damage the electrical equiptment. It helped, but only slightly. Moving back to stand on her own two feet she clumped the stained red paper towels between her hands before shaking her head and moving toward the garbage can.
"But NO.. No one listens to me. You're just the kid near the computers all damn day. What could you possibly know?" The sarcasm oozed off of her voice as she tossed the dampened towels rather loudly with a squish before stepping rather loudly into the trashcan to press the 'evidence' down.
"Fine. Back to work." She let out a loud sigh before looking to the computer. Striding over she hopped right back into her rolling chair with a sly little smile on her lips. Rubbing her hands together she smiled. "Time for some tetris."
