Matt had been locked up in the interrogation room with this family of loons for about an hour and the tension could be cut with a knife. Most of the hour had been spent in silence. Stanley, Krys' father hadn't so much as even spoken a word or even looked at him. The questions so far had been rather ordinary and dull despite the pressing matter of where Krys was (where only half of her family seemed to be concerned over). Matthew glanced to the clock, silently praying for assistance because the road he was heading down wasn't a good one because soon Krys' past of being beaten would have to be revealed if they wanted any usable information, and this meant outright speaking to Stanley in front of his wife and other biological children.
Despite what the man had done to Krys in the past, Matthew actually felt guilty for how easily the newly sober man was walked over by his wife in conversation and occasionally his daughters. Matt was no profiler but he could tell, even when sitting a distance away, this was Stanley's own way of punishing himself for what he had done to his eldest, adopted daughter. Did he really feel sorry? Matthew would never know because around every corner in situation he was 'smacked' by Julia or her even snippier 'mother' Diane."We've already answered all that we know." Diane countered sharply, her nose slightly upturned. She was itching to get out of his interrogation room, she was just about to close a deal and the last thing she needed were the socialites back at their new home catching wind of this venture. "So if you don't mind we'll be leaving." Smoothing out the material of her business suit she moved to her feet."Have a seat Mrs. Robin." Matt countered flatly, and after a moment of hesitation, the mother agreed (though she didn't seem pleased at all by it). Massaging his temples the same time as Stanley did Matthew leaned forward to flip through the family file. They didn't have time to beat around the bush but Matt knew that other people could very well be peeking through the one way mirror and subconciously he didn't want them to hear Krys' secret."What's in there?" Julia spoke up, her eyes focused on the file rather seriously. She was seated on the opposite side of her mother (her father was on the left of Diane) while to Julia's right were Laura (wearing her college sweater) and the youngest Robin Keith, who had remained completely quiet the entire time."Transcripts from the last time." Matt explained as he pulled through each file without even looking up. He knew that Krys' youngest sister was more so concerned with what they had to say about her and not the situation so he feared that if he looked up he would have snapped or growled at her. "Files. The usual."Julia let out a loud huff and dramatically leaned back in her chair. "Great. Just great." Her slender hands grasped the metal arm rests as she bit on her painted bottom lip. What a waste of time this was. Laura meanwhile, the other older sister (though younger than Krys) also remained as quiet as her brother, awaiting to speak until she was spoken to.

Reid had been sitting behind the one way glass for nearly forty minutes now. At first there had been a group of them. including Kate, JJ, and Emily, but as time went on they all went off to do their own thing. Reid was watching the interview go no where, trying to bring up the the courage to intervene, but he couldn't seem to. He had been profiling the five of them the whole time, getting into their minds as Matt went on about his job. He was trying to figure out what they could learn from the five of them.
First Reid was sure that all the kids had been abused, physically at least, one time in their life. Julia acted older to get away from it, because the older you are the more responsibilities you have, and the less your parents can back wall you. But she also seemed to be the favorite and she knew it, she was starting to take on her mothers way of life, which was being the best at everything all the time. Having the faults even if that means only to the public eye. Keith by fair was the most effected by the emotional abuse, being the youngest and the only one not able to defy his parents yet. He never spoke with out permission, obviously scared of the consequences that it might bring about. He seemed the one most worried about Krys, and Reid sensed something else about him, whether it was guilt or just fear he wasn't sure of yet. Laura, though the oldest of the three, seemed the least effected by her parents. Out of each of them she seemed the one most likely to be able to go on and live a normal life, not falling into the same rut as her parents had. Yet she still hadn't said barely a word, and might have been a little scared of her parents, or she might just not have wanted to say anything. Stanley, though it was hard to say, seemed to feel very guilty, and Reid knew it was about Krys. Yet Reid couldn't find it in his heart to forgive him for what he did to the woman he cared very much about, just like that. It was much like when Reid had thought his father a murderer and it took several days for him to realize he wasn't that bad of a guy, and to forgive him for leaving him, and still to this day he barely spoke to the man. And Krys' dad had done something far worse than just leaving a ten year old boy with him mother.
There was one thing he had learned: none of them had anything to do with the kidnapping. He also had learned that Diana wasn't going to be any help in finding Krys now, nor was Julia. Stanley might be some help, but chances were Krys hadn't spoken to him years, so he wouldn't know much. Their best guys was Keith and Laura to figure anything out. But Reid had a feeling that they wouldn't be able to help them. After all if this was a crime of opportunity, or about the kids then Krys had no idea what was going to happen. Their time would be better off interviewing Claire and Haley, which he knew the rest of the team was going to be doing. Yet he knew that he had to at least talk to them, get them to admit what had happened to Krys and maybe explain it. Reid needed them to do that much, for Krys.
Taking a large breath, just as they looked into the file, Reid headed to the door. He waited a second before opening it and stepping into the room. He stood there for a moment then said, "I'm SSA Dr. Spencer Reid." He introduced himself. Normal he wouldn't have used all his titles, but he knew that the family would need a true authority figure in the room. They needed to think he was over them, which would be hard because especally Diana and Julia thought there was no one over them. For a moment Reid caught something, his and Krys' moms had the same name. He sat next to Matt and knew that Matt wouldn't be happy that it was him in the room with him. After all Matt didn't thing Reid was a field agent, or that he would be able to conduct a interrogation. But he knew that he would never be able to show it in her. Looking right at Stanley, by passing Diana's authority he asked, "Why Krys?"

"I'm SSA Dr. Spencer Reid."
Laura looked up at the sharing of this particular title. She had heard the name before when on the telephone with the oldest Robin. He didn't look at all as to how Laura had pictured him. She had always pictured Krys with, well, no one.. But if she ever ended up with anyone Laura had pictured a tubby man, but strong, someone that could protect her and be goofy, certainly not this skinny man standing before them. But he was an agent, that alone was impressive, especially at such a young age. Laura, nearly twenty, was studying to become a teacher but even she wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life. This Spencer Reid had to know from the start.
"You're Krys' friend." She declared simply, causing her mother to turn around in accusation more so that Laura had known something that she did not, and still didn't feel the need to share before they got into this interrogation room. "She's spoken about you before... On the phone." Now it was common knowledge that Krys preferred texting to calling but with family she always called. It just made more sense that way and truthfully, they seemed to prefer it. Laura was well aware that she'd get a good verbal reaming from her mother about speaking up but what did she care? She got to go back to her dorm when this was all said and done.
Matt meanwhile remained quiet. He wasn't exactly thrilled about little Spencer sitting in, but at the same time with just so much as a 'hello' he had managed to get Laura to speak up. Matt knew from past circumstances that Laura rarely spoke her mind when amongst her family, especially all together like they were. She'd wait until she had Matt alone in a hallway, or straggled behind the group to get a word in. This was at least progress and Matthew didn't want to push it. Maybe the kid knew what he was doing afterall.
"Why Krys?"
Matt cringed. Maybe not. Stanley however felt the young man's firm gaze upon him and didn't even look up from his lap. He nervously shifted, crossing his legs tightly before resting his chin in his hand and his elbow atop the arm rest. His fingertips pushed into his own flesh and he bit down on the inside of his bottom lip. He didn't need to be reminded of such things, especially when he had just managed to make himself feel numb. He knew exactly what this boy wanted but he couldn't give him a clear answer. He didn't even know.
"Why Krys what, agent?" Diane's voice cut right through, once again trying to garner the control that she so desperately desired. She liked her family secrets, with them hidden she could continue to live her fake, picture perfect life.

Reid looked at Laura as she spoke. He didn't give her any indication that he was Krys' friend or not. He knew that it wasn't a good idea because it would make the older daughter go back into herself, but he also knew that he couldn't answer that. He couldn't let them see the weaknesses in him. He had to stay a neutral face as long as he could, unlike Matt who they all knew was not only Krys' teammate but also her very good friend. He did however make sure to make eye contact with the college student, to let her know that he was on her side, if she did indeed have a side. And that he would be talking to her on her own. That was one thing Reid knew Matt was doing wrong. The kids had to be away from their mother to actually talk.
As he looked at at Stanley he could see he became uncomfortable. And that was what he wanted. He knew that he had become the submissive person. He felt sorry for what he had down to Krys, but in Reid's eyes there was nothing he could to make it up to her, but he could do something about his other kids. He could make their lives as good as he could, yet he had to overcome his wife first. Reid couldn't help but think of Keith, sitting there scared out of his mind for his sister, but unable to say a word. He had to do something, not only to help krys, but to help them.
When Diana spoke Reid ignored her, trying his hardest to imitate Hotchner while in the interrogation room. He knew what to do, he just had to have to guts to do it. He had to by pass Diana, no matter how much she tried to be the top dog. It as the only way not only to get Stanley talking to him, but also to get Diana to be truthful as well. As of yet Reid knew they hadn't answered barely any of the questions about Krys truthfully. And he was determined to change that."You know what I'm talking about, Stanley. This is your chance to be truthful." he said keeping his voice as level, yet harsh as he could. He had to be in charge.

"You know what I'm talking about, Stanley. This is your chance to be truthful."
Stanley murmured some inaudible under his breath. It hadn't been a rude remark, possibly just a subtle 'I dunno' from a man who lacked the heart to do much of anything these days. His insides were tearing inside of him, every single day as he sat comotose in front of the television set, seemingly dead to the world. He felt terrible for what he had done to Krys in his drunken rages, and he felt even worse that now (when he knew right from wrong) that he couldn't stand up to Diane and was imasculated every single day in front of his children. He hated the useless carcass that he had become. The embarassment.
"He has nothing to say to you." Diane cut right in, leaning forward with her slender back bone, angular features peering at Spencer. She would be damned if this little fly was going to ruin the soup of her perfect life that she had finally managed to create. "Nothing that is any of your business or that pertains to our eldest being missing. A lot of good you're doing here, sitting and prodding us about things just because you want to be nosey." Her words were like knives, stabbing and cutting through anything that they could weasel their way through.
Already she felt herself unwraveling. "And it's nothing that this man-" She pointed at Matt with an angry glare. If eyes could kill hers would have burned him twice over. "Doesn't already know and it's probably in that file. We're past that now so why don't you guys get around it and find her?" And with that she leaned back in her chair, momentarily losing her perfect posture in how angry she had become.
Stanley managed to turn his head from his hand, actually resembling a shy little boy from the way he was sitting. He was whipped. A hundred percent whipped and held by the choke collar, metaphorically speaking. But even so he attempted to speak, though in a very soft voice riddled with guilt. "Just find her... Alright?" He did love her. He regretted very much what he had done for his entire intoxicated ten years. But now that he was clean and sober he hated himself every single day. He was punishing himself more than any judicial system could.
"My sister..." Keith had finally spoken up, something that caused most of his family (save his father) to turn around and look at him. His hoodie arms fell over his hands and he didn't bother to fix it. "She's probably scared." The fifteen year old admitted, slowly garnering the courage to speak even more. "You have to find her because she's been through a lot already." His voice was soft, even shy.
"We were supposed to go camping later this week... On Friday." Keith and Krys were actually quite close ever since the first day Keith was old enough to walk up the stairs by himself and let her out of the closet when their dad went out after one of his tyrades. Since then they kept in contact and had looked out for one another. This had been documented in Matt's first interview with Keith, who, at the time, had been around eight or nine.

Reid had to take a deep breath before he lost it. He had to keep himself cool. Remember the objective. And make sure he didn't lose his head. It was hard, though. Over and over the story Krys had told him at the ice rink played itself over and over in his head. The look at pure terror and sadness playing across Krys' face as she told it. The pain that was still all to real to her, even in it had stopped. How could this people think that just because it wasn't happening any more that it didn't matter any more. It would always matter, she would never be rid of the haunting memories. The pain. The countless scars all over her body. Reid had heard that Matt had punched Stanley, and Reid could understand why. He wanted more than anything else to give this guys, both Stanley and Diane what they deserved for what they did, and were still doing.
Reid turned an icey glare at Diane. "Then why don't you start answering the questions truthfully?" he asked sharply before turning his eyes back to Stanley. His plan was working. Diane was opening up more. Soon she would be answering the questions, and as soon as that was over then they could let her and the rest of them go to talk to Laura and Keith alone. The two people Reid figured would be the most help. That's when Stanley spoke up, and asked them to find Krys. Reid felt kind of sorry for him, but there was still no room for forgiveness in his heart yet. Diane was right, there was no reason to bring that up now. They had to focus on what was going on now. He would talk to Stanley about the past later, after they had found Krys.
Suddenly Keith spoke up, something that Reid had not been expecting. The guilt shone in his eyes more than Reid had ever seen. Reid knew then that he felt guilty about Krys, that he, like Stanley, felt bad for what had happened. The only different was there was little Reid could imagine Keith actually being able to do, not with out meeting the back of his father's hand as well. He was near seven years younger than her, it wasn't his responsibility to stop his father. Reid turned all his attention on the boy, knowing that again this was going to make Diane mad, but he didn't care. Unlike Laura who he thought he could make talk once she was alone, he wasn't sure about Keith. "When was the last time you spoke to her?' He asked softly, like talking to a scared dog.

"When was the last time you spoke to her?"
"Two days ago. On my cell phone." Keith responded to which Diane immediately snapped her neck around with an offended gasp and an accompanying 'Keith', but the fifteen year old desperately tried to avoid it, choosing instead to look straight at Spencer and Matt. He had always liked Matt, ever since the very first interview when he was a little boy. The man had played baseball, a sport Keith was very passionate about (even to this day) so he easily related to the soft spoken, gruff agent.
"She called to make sure I had everything together. I went to Target with Julia to pick up the stuff. I had a list and everything." The boy shrugged before tucking his hand into his hoodie pocket and withdrawing the cell phone. Before setting it on the table in front of the two men.
"Krys has two phones. One for work and one on our family plan with free texting cause she hates talking on them for some reason." Julia gave a tired sigh, giving in to the desire to help. On some days she could be a good person, even if the very sexy Derek Morgan wasn't in the room. She still cared about her older sister... A little bit. "She leaves the business one in her stupid bag but she keeps the one we gave her in her pocket usually." Little did Julia know that this might help locate her sister. She was just sharing a little anctedote that annoyed her.
"Her number is in my phone." Keith spoke up again, nodding toward the black flat phone that shined with the time in its little square box. "It's an upstate area code though because we got them there... I tried texting her twice but she didn't respond." Yeah, Keith seemed to think that even kidnapped, Krys' love for texting would win out.

Reid was inwardly happy at the progress that he had gotten. He had been able to get stuff out of each person that Matt hadn't been able to do in an hour. He wanted to look over at the other agent and see if he had any reaction to this. If for once he realized that Reid wasn't a squint, only good for rattling off facts. That he could actually do something. But he knew that he could take his mind off of the five in front of him. He had to keep his focus, and make sure they didn't go back into themselves.
Reid listened closely to what Keith had to say. When Diane gave her youngest a look Reid shot her one that was more acidic, saying that she had to let him do this. He would make sure that he made it clear that she couldn't punish any of her kids for what they said today, even though he was sure that was impossible. At least he could make it apparent that they information they were giving was helping, and thus there was no reason to feel sorry about it. Really the only one he had to worry about was Keith, though.
When Julia revealed that she had two cell phone, and that she kept one on her all the time, the one that they didn't know about, Reid felt hope rush into him. Maybe this wasn't a waste of time. Maybe the dysfunctional family could actually help them find Krys. Reid quickly took Keith's phone off the table and looked at it. He found the number and in a heart beat memorized it. The one thing he wanted to do in that moment was take it and run to Garcia to get a trace, but be knew that he had to finish up the interview first, maybe the family knew more than just that. Reid set the phone back down, so Matt might look at it then turned his attention back to Keith and Julia, he hoped Laura might say something too. "When you talked to her did she mention anything about baby sitting, or Lily?" Reid asked.

"When you talked to her did she mention anything about baby sitting, or Lily?"
"Yeah." There was no turning back now and no matter how softly he spoke his parents were still in the room. But Keith knew if he didn't say anything he would be of no help to his oldest sister, and he had already been of little help when she was younger, he would be damned if he couldn't help her now though he was doing it in the most passive aggressive way as possible. "She's known Lily for a while, through Lily's mom. She used to work with her husband." This was probably something that Spencer already knew but Keith attempted to share anyways. Maybe any little tidbit could be helpful.
"Lily's mom is very... Motherly." Keith chose his words carefully but knew in the end no phrasing would be deemed appropriate by his own mother. "I've only met her once when I was staying with Krys for a weekend." He explained shifting about unsurely in his chair. Suddenly he felt very uncomfortable and it could have had something to do with the annoyed look that Diane was sporting.
"That's all we know though." Laura spoke up quietly. It was definitely true. She had no reason to lie but really she could feel the tension practically radiating from her mother and wanted nothing more than to get out of the interrogation room. The Bureau had paid for two hotel rooms for them to stay and perhaps some rest would do everyone good, her parents in one room the siblings in the other.
Julia meanwhile narrowed her eyes slightly before nodding jerkily to the phone on the table. "Can't you just trace her or something? That's what they do on the tv." She snipped a bit before everyone moved to stand. Like it or not they were here on their own free will, even if it was to help their family member, and currently they all just wanted to leave.
Matt, who had remained very quiet when Spencer entered the room, meanwhile reached right out and bagged the phone before rising to his feet and sidehanding it to Spencer. Penelope, the BAU's analyst, could no doubt get something off of it. Anything. Hopefully.

Reid listened to Keith as he talked. Reid did know everything that he was saying. The Laura spoke up again. He looked at her then at their parents. Keith obviously wasn't going to say anything else with them in the room. He looked at Stanley one last hard time then answered Julia's question. "Only if the phone is on. Or if it has GPS, other wise we would have to wait for her to make a call. Hopefully it'll be on." He said showing for the first time his care for Krys. He really did hope that it would be that easy. He doubted that it would. A lot of times the UNSUBs were to smart to let the victims keep cell phones. But then this guy seemed to only kidnap kids, so maybe he didn't think of the cell phone thing. Maybe there might be hope for it after all. One thing Reid was sure of was that this was all that he was going to be getting out of Diane, Stanley, and Julia. And Keith seemed to not really know much else. But the young agent figured that it wouldn't hurt to talk with him and Laura with out their parents looming over them.
"You can go now, thank you, um... for your time." he said. Then quickly he added. "Keith, Laura, could you stay for just a moment..." He looked at the two, hoping that they would stay, they both very well could deny, or Diane could force them into leaving, maybe then the very silent Matt would speak up though. It didn't much matter though. Reid did very much want to get the phone to Garcia as fast as he could. But then he couldn't just leave this two to go back with their mother and get yelled at for helping them. He wanted to help, because no one had been there to help him with his mother. And no one had been there to help Krys when she really needed it. He wasn't sure what he was going to say though. He wasn't like Morgan or Hotch who could just hand out their card and tell them to call him if they needed anything. Reid wasn't the big strong "I can protect" you kind of guy. He wouldn't have been surprised if both the kids laughed in his face. he had to try something, though. ((ooc; Again sorry it's so short...))[/size]

Matt had risen to his feet and was assisting in ushering the Robin family out the interrogation room door because honestly: the sooner the better. That's when he caught young Spencer Reid out of the corner of his eye. What was he up to? Matt knew that look. He wore it many times when dealing with younger victims and these kids, no matter how old they were getting, really were victims. It seemed the Robin family had ensnared another in their web, though only time would tell if this would be a good advancement or not. With that, Matthew and most of the family exited leaving behind Laura and Keith.
"Did you want to ask us something else?" Keith shifted about unsurely on his feet, his hands slinking their way into his hoodie he leaned back a bit on his leg, trying to maintain a calm outer demeanor much like his older sister Laura at his side who had her own arms crossed over her chest but said nothing. Both seemed to be soft spoken individuals which was a complete turn around from Julia or even Krys.
"Something that might help you find her?" They were really the types to not speak until spoken to. They had been taught that family business was their business and no one else's no matter their standing, but once seperated from their mother they felt a bit more free to open up and share if prodded.

Reid made short eye contact with Matt. He seemed to know what was going through Reid's mind at that point. Yet Reid wasn't sure if he approved of it or not. But Reid didn't care what Matthew Grimaldi thought about this. He wouldn't have cared if it was Hotch leaving the room, or Rossi. He knew what he had to do, and wasn't going to leave it undone. The look on Keith's face when he finally spoke up, defying his mother's wishes paired with that of Krys' when she talked about her father. The fear that both children had.
"Did you want to ask us something else?" Keith asked and the confident Reid went out the window. Suddenly he didn't know what to say. He wasn't good at stuff like this. When the parents left Keith and Laura came out of their shell, but Reid went into his. This wasn't a normal interrogation any more. For all he knew neither child wanted to talk about it, or would even care if he cared. They could walk out as fast as light if they could. But Something told Reid that they wouldn't do that. They had waited so long for someone to help them that they couldn't pass up the offer. Or maybe it was just Reid hoping that they felt that way. he wasn't really sure.
"Well... um... Kind of..." he said shifting in his seat. He cleared his throat and looked at the two in front of him. There was an obvious change in the two with our their parents around. They actually looked like real children. "You've both already helped so much...." He said softly. "With the phone we might be able to find her before anything happens, and I just.... I just wanted to thank you.... I mean for speaking up...." he looked at the table studying the patterns on its surface. Taking a big breath he looked back up and said, "I want you to understand that you did the right thing... and if your mom has a problem with that..." He couldn't finish the thought. He looked at each child closely for a moment. Hoping that they wouldn't see him as some sort of... well what everyone else seemed to see him as. A clueless genius. He hoped that they might actually understand what he was trying to do... That he was trying to help.
