Thank god for Agent Morgan. Krys found that he always seemed to know exactly what was bothering her (most of the time) and always did his best to make everyone happy. She could relate with the feeling. At one time it had become far too immense that she had tried to kill herself out of the notion that someone would be relieved over it. Of course with Derek this would never be the case. He was far too strong of an individual to have any weaknesses, at least in Krys' eyes which could be rather childlike at times.
"Hi." Came her short response in the direction of this new woman. Krys would play nice for Derek's sake and for little Matt, not because the woman deserved it. In Krys' eyes she had been royally snubbed because she lacked a package and that was utterly ridiculous, but she'd keep those sarcastic thoughts inside: For now. However, when Evelyn's sights moved onto the little boy Krys instinctively intervened which was a new behavior all together in her case.
As Matty's hands clung to her sides she looked to Evelyn with a slight roll of her eyes. "His vote seems to have been cast." Came the flat, sarcastic tone that had been missing when she had gone on 'leave' recently. Now it was back, though perhaps a tad more bitter than before and the young woman herself, less tolerable and forgiving as far as rudeness was concerned. Before Derek could even give her a warning glare she shook her head and let out a heavy sigh before going down onto her knees in front of the little boy, her hands lightly touching his wrists so to steady him.
"You ARE a good boy." She reassured gently, really unsure of what to do or say in this situation to stop his tears, though by this point she would try anything. "I just have to go because I don't technically work here anym-" The little boy stumbled back and fell down, causing Krys' eyes to widen before she moved toward him.
"You alright?" The data analyst poised with a slight tilt of her head, it was all she could really offer. And her two hands reached out to gently haul him to his feet before taking care to dust him off, almost rather motherly all things considered. "No reason to get upset. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm just technically not supposed to be here. That's all." She explained before moving to fix his dark hair, strand by strand. Perhaps a haircut would do him some good. Maybe later... Good god! What was she thinking? It wasn't her place to do so!
Shaking her head in spite of herself she rose to her feet and pulled at her zipup hoodie which was a tad too large on her. "Agent Morgan is a good man. He'll look after you. I wouldn't leave you hanging, you know that right?" Especially not with this new person in the room..
