"You know there’s got to be a faster way to do this. How about we just change the first question to ‘have you recently dated a homicidal pyromaniac?’"

Character Name: Penelope Garcia
Age: 29
Date of Birth: January 15.
Residence: Virginia, in a small, but colorful, apartment
Profession: She is a Technical Analyst for the FBI, and works in tandem with the team.
Appearance: Garcia is a a cheery sort, and one that instantaneously seems an individual. She has bleach blonde hair, that is always styled in quirky but aesthetically pleasing styles, and clothes that shout personality; with colors that are just as bold as her personality.
She is pleasantly plump, with brown eyes and a bright smile. She always has a pair of glasses, and ample amounts of jewelry. You will find her tucked away in her office staring at multiple computer screens. She is always neat and orderly, and greatly dislikes when such things are messed with.
Personality: She is just as much an individual as her appearance lets on. She is always coming up with something witty to say, and in a constant state of cheer. This, though, is a coverup and compensation to the job that horrifies her at times.
She is incredibly tech-savvy, and was a successful hacker until the government offered her a position in their bureau. And while she is quite prideful of her abilities, Garcia also has a lovely heart and loves to help people that are hurting, and has even broken the law to do such things.
History: Penelope came from a happy home; her mother loved her, and her stepfather was an angel. There was nothing entirely exciting about the first half of her life. She lived as most little girls do, from day to day. Enjoying the swing, bike rides, and spending time with her parents--when they were not being difficult or ridiculous.
This all changed though when Garcia was fifteen. Her parents died in an automobile accident, and she went to go live with her aunt. This is truly when her current self began to emerge. She held true to the mantra that things happen for a reason, and buried herself into the land of technology and computers---instantly becoming savvy, and a hacker that was unmatched.
All of this hacking, though, put her on a special list for the government. A list of people that they should keep an eye on; and eventually they offered her a trade. For not pressing charges when she hacked the government system, they would give her a job as a Technical Analyst for the FBI. She agreed, and has been working there ever since.
She loves her team, and often refers to them by special pet names, or as a group "her babies". She feels quite blessed to be able to help people everyday; though at times it seems more than she can handle.
She tried to extend herself a bit too much at one point, and it ended up with her being shot and hospitalized. Still, Penelope would never trade her position for anything else and plans on helping many more families.
Likes:
- Computers and technology - this goes without saying, really. Penelope loves her technology.
- Color and Individuality - It reminds her to smile.
- MMORPGs - They provide a creative escape from reality.
- Comic Books and Graphic Novels
Dislikes:
- Guns. Yes, she works for the FBI, but she truly dislikes the idea of having to shoot things.
- When innocent people get hurt.
- Rules that prevent people from doing the most good they can do. Sometimes, protocol is not necessarily the right thing, in her opinion.
- When the team goes out after the bad guys. Yeah, they do tons of good; but she feels left out at times, and worried sick every time.
- Being around a bunch of profilers when something is wrong. It is just so pesky that they can tell right away you're upset!
Strengths:
- Computers. There is nobody better when it comes to hacking, making specialized lists, and helping the team with their tech stuff.
- Garcia is reliable, and trusting--almost to a fault. Heavens, it even got her shot once!
- Penelope is fluent in French, despite her hispanic last name. She, actually, doesn't speak a word of Spanish at all.
- Fresh perspectives on her part sometimes give the team a little extra help.
Weaknesses:
- Self Esteem. Sometimes, her size gets to her. And while she will never deny she is a catch, she doubts her first impressions at times.
- Keeping secrets. Sometimes, when the team puts pressure on her, she caves. But most of the time it is because she is seeking to help.
- She cannot resist breaking the rules sometimes if it is for the greater good. Someday, she fears she may lose her job over it.
- She was and is not wholeheartedly academic. She was supposed to go to Medical School, but she dropped out.
Parents: Both of her parents are deceased. She had a stepfather named Michael Garcia and a mother named Mary Garcia.
Siblings: None, Penelope is an only child.
Spouse: None.
Children: None.
