"You know there’s got to be a faster way to do this. How about we just change the first question to ‘have you recently dated a homicidal pyromaniac?’"

Character Name: Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss
Age: 37
Date of Birth: October 12, 1972
Residence: Virginia
Profession: Profiler
Appearance: Emily stands at five foot eight, when not in heels. She has a slim figure, but keeps in shape. Her long dark brown hair is usually worn down, but sometimes she pulls it up into a pony tail when they're taking down an Unsub. Any makeup she wears is usually kept very neutral, nothing flashy unless required.
Emily's work attire is generally business chic. She wear dress suits, pants, very rarely wears jeans while on a case. Although she wears heels, she can still run in them and keep up with the perp.
Personality: Given Emily's background of moving around a lot as a child, she tends to find it hard to fit in. She's eager to please, but knows where her loyalties are. When she first started, she inadvertently questioned Hotch's decisions, but learned from those mistakes. She was also thrust into a position to spy on her team leader, which she refused to do, showing that she refused to be bullied into politics.
She is a caring woman, who has a big heart. She cares for the vicitms, especially when they turn out to be children, even offering to adopt one victim when they couldn't find any relatives to take her in. Emily has described herself as a nerd. She is also insecure in relationships with members of the opposite sex due to her job, fearing they will be intimidated by her.
History: Emily was born to Ambassador Elizabeth Prentiss, not much is known about her father. She spent most of her childhood traveling around on different postings with her mother which included the Middle East, the Ukraine as well as Rome. When she was fifteen and living in Rome, she got pregnant, and ended up having an abortion. Due to her travels with her mother she is fluent in Arabic, Spanish, Italian and some Russian.
She graduated from Yale, and enrolled in the FBI, insisting her mother's prominent position had nothing to do with her being accepted. She eventually transferred to the BAU, under the watchful eye of Director Erin Strauss. Upon discovering that Strauss wanted to use her to ruin Agent Hotchner's career, she promptly quit. It took Hotch's convincing for her to join the team again. After being held hostage and beaten by a religious cult, she managed to keep herself in check, not showing any signs of PTSD.

Anything Else?Carries a Glock 19 sidearm.
Roleplay Sample: Emily hopped out of the SUV, removing her sidearm as she looked around. The house looked abandoned but that didn't mean anything. Nodding to Morgan, she moved swiftly to the front door. She checked through the window to see if there was anyone in the building. "I see no one in the house." She said over her walkie. "I'm going in."
Carefully opening the door, she slowly made her way into the front hallway of the house. Wrinkling her nose, Emily tried to push the scent of stale urine out of her mind. "Someone was living here, and whoever they were, didn't bother to use the bathroom." She grumbled, weapon out infront of her as she continued to search. Once done on the first floor, she approached the stairs to the upstairs.
Once on the landing of the second floor, a creek caused her to whip around fast. "Who's there?" She called out, approaching where the sound came from. "FBI, show yourself." She stated, moving closer towards the sound. Hearing another creek, she paused and pushed open the door in front of her. A cat sprung out from behind it, causing Emily to jump slightly before sighing. "House is clear, no sign of the unsub."
