Krys didn't want cbox discussions of HP because she hasn't been able to see it yet. Therefor, I figured I'd create a board to discuss it. I'm on my iPod and it's late so i'll discuss later, but I figured I'd just take initiative and make the board so ehoever wants can discuss.

So I was tired before, but I'm wide awake now and thought I may as well post something here. Just got back from seeing the movie with Morgan and another one of our friends.
First of all, I loved it! I'm sure there were a few things that didn't quite fit with the book, I know Morgan and my friend were discussing a few, but I haven't read it since before Deathly Hallows came out, so I don't quite remember all the tiny details, so if anything was out of place, I didn't notice, and even if it was, I'm sure it wasn't too bad. I thought they did amazing with the movie. Two and a half hours seemed like the perfect amount of time to get in all the really important details and what not. I think this one was a much better adaptation that the previous one, but then I only saw that one once, whenever it was out in theaters and hadn't, at the time, read the book.
Either way, I loved it and I'm pretty sure I'm going to see it at least once more in theaters, if not more, depending on whether or not Morgan or anyone else drags me out with them to see it again. Haha.
----- SPOILERS (in there somewhere) ----
That said, I loved seeing Lupin again! And with Tonks! They're so adorable. I've always had a special fondness for those two for some reason. And Draco nearly broke my heart when he was crying over the dove. (And I said "Hi." to him out loud every time he came on the screen. I should've kept a count, but Morgan can tell you. She was like, "If you say hi to him one more time...." and then he showed up again and I went "Hi!" Haha.) The Sectumsampra (yeah, I didn't spell that right.) bit was alright, though someone was talking and I missed the actual bit where Harry yelled out the spell, so I saw Draco go flying and had to turn to Morgan and ask her whether or not they'd said it. And I have to say I was expecting more blood and cuts and what not, but I guess...PG and all.
What was up with that anyway? PG rating? That's so odd. All the others where at least PG-13, I believe. I found that strange.
Felt so bad for Hermonie with the whole Lavender thing, but the hospital scene was cute. And we all wanted to strangle Lavender every time she showed up. (Er, and the people sitting next to us, who were Obnoxious. Cell phones, God! It won't kill you to turn them off for two hours!)
Morgan and I found some scenes wayyy too amusing at times. Er, like the battle in the cornfield. It was a CORNFIELD. He was running through a cornfield, and all we could think the whole time is: "omg, Revelations! Look out Tobias is coming for you, Harry!" And then the scene where Ron drank the poisoned wine made us laugh (er, yeah, rather inappropriate timeto be laughing, I know. Whoops.) for the same reason. I just kind of sat there and went, "Well, that looks familiar." and we took quite a while to come to our senses again. (While our friend was shooting death glares and telling us to shut up). Oh, and right before the whole cornfield bit, I believe Morgan screamed out: "They should have had GUNS!"
...Yeahhhh.
The Horcrux bit was rather amusing, because everyone in the theater was expecting the hand, when Harry went near the water. I knew it was coming and in my head I had a mantra going of "Don't jump, don't jump, don't jump, don't jump."
Of course I jumped.
Though, then again, so did everyone else in the theater.
Morgan screamed.
I just started cracking up for no reason after I jumped a foot in the air. And then with the whats-its, the bodies, er, I think they had a specific name but I don't remember it. Anyway, when Harry got dragged into the water and that one latched onto him, Morgan screams out "HUG!" and I go "Have you hugged your mummy today?" and then we all started cracking up.
...Yeah, we've got a 'lets crack up an inappropriate times' trend going on.
The Dumbledore scene was heart-breaking, but I didn't cry! (Nearly did during the whole wand-light funeral thing, though.) Draco was awesome in that scene, I felt so bad for him. And although I hate to admit it, because she's nasty and killed off one of my favorite characters ever (Sirius, dammit! -cries-), I have to agree with my friends in saying Bellatrix was pretty funny throughout this. She's just skipping along and singing and destroying things. Haha.
Uhm, I think that's all.
OH. Jim Broadbent. Seriously, that guy is practically in every movie.
And I have a strong urge to go out and buy a bunch of Harry Potter stuff now, haha. I want that Slytherin sweatshirt.
aaaand, that's all, folks! Thoughts?

Dude. It was pretty cool. First off, the kid that played Riddle? Super pretty in a very, very scary way. Like...wow. I was like, "Get off the screen, creeper." xD
Was I the only one who was annoyed by Narcissa? I pictured a Nicole Kidman-esque type woman. That wasn't what I got. Haha.
And the ending scene between Snape and Dumbledore? I was kinda let down by that one. It wasn't so ambiguous this time. Like you couldn't be like, "Is Snape or isn't Snape evil?" I thought it was way too obvious that he isn't.
Those were really the only two complaints I had. Ron = Love. Rupert Grint did so well in this one. (I am a fan of his in general. But yeah. Super cute.)
Bellatrix was crazy. But awesome. She is an amazing actress, that one.
Thats all I really have the time/energy for today.
I loved it, though. Good stuff.
